How Eternal Floette plays
Eternal Floette is the only Floette that competes in Champions, and 99% of its sets hold Floettite — it is on the field to Mega Evolve. Flower Veil is the standard ability at 66%, with Fairy Aura on the rest, and the damage comes off a Special Attack stat the base forms never reach.
The standard set is Dazzling Gleam and Moonblast for spread and single-target Fairy damage, Calm Mind to turn a free turn into an unanswerable one, and Protect; Light of Ruin appears on about one set in eight as the nuclear option. Counterplay is speed and pressure: Eternal Floette is not fast, so Fake Out and priority deny the Calm Mind turn, and Steel-types wall the Fairy STAB outright. Because the Mega slot is exclusive, bringing it also means giving up Mega Charizard, Mega Garchomp or Mega Salamence — the question is whether a Calm Mind sweep beats what those bring.
